“Rise,” a 30-second ad by NACDS, captures the spirit and resolve of member companies, their teams, their customers, their communities and our nation – amid COVID-19 and throughout time.
|
Moments ago, NACDS finished the production of an ad titled “Rise.” As we rise to the challenge of COVID-19 together, we hope that this ad captures the spirit of your team, your company, your customers, your community, and our nation. We hope it also serves as a reminder to the public, and to all in public service, of what pharmacy accomplishes for the American people, when pharmacy is fully empowered.
We are sending this ad right now to television and digital platforms. It will debut in the Washington, D.C. market on Friday, on CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360, Cuomo Prime Time and CNN Tonight, and on Fox News Channel’s Tucker Carlson Tonight and Hannity. It also will air in the Washington, D.C. market on Sunday political shows. Additional ad plans in markets across the nation are being developed quickly. I also hope you will share it far and wide:
With the continued and rapid escalation of needs in this public health crisis, NACDS chain members are working hard and heroically. Pharmacists can help meet the needs of those affected by COVID-19, and those with other illnesses who face an overwhelmed healthcare delivery system. Team members throughout the store are defining resolve, professionalism and courage.
NACDS associate members are supplying critical products and services to meet the needs of our mutual customers and patients. As is the case in “normal” times, NACDS is hearing examples of partnership between retailers and suppliers that are helping to confront this public health emergency with efficiency, creativity and common purpose.
For NACDS’ part, we established clear goals at the outset: advancing the health of the public, of members’ teams and of the NACDS staff; living up to pharmacy’s reputation for professionalism, trust and accessibility; delivering value to NACDS members; and continuing to advance the overall NACDS mission. One aspect of this is to urge immediate action by all levels of government to remove needless burdens so pharmacy can be fully ready to help meet the exponentially increasing demands of this crisis.
I hope you will continue to rely on NACDS.org/Prepared for information about pharmacy’s response to COVID-19. And I hope you and your entire team will find our new ad, “Rise,” to provide further encouragement for a crisis in which so much courage is being demanded, in which so much courage is being demonstrated, and in which this courage truly can be unleashed for the public good.
